Reading animal farm of George Orwell made me desperate
The story is about an animal farm that one day comes into the conclusion that the farmer is not necessary for them. And even more than that — he’s using them. They deciding to get rid of him and manage the farm without him. They think that in the new order they will work less and eat and enjoy life more.
After a successful revolt, they get what they wanted and starting a new page of independence.
It starts well. Although the hardships, they manage equality. They gather to vote and discuss issues. Each contributes according to its ability. they create a benevolent constitution that reflects their vision and starting a happy fulfilling life.
One day one of the pigs making a hostile takeover. He uses wild dogs as personal guards and throws out his fellow — the good pig.
Fron there situation starting a slow and steady decline.
Rules are changed, work gets harder and harder. Food supplied less and less. and the pigs get more and more like human beings.
At the end of the story, one can’t tell the difference between pigs and humans. And even worst — farmers form the vicinity are coming to learn how to utilize animals better with much less food.
So, the rebellion not contributed to the animal involved but even make all other animals mich worst.
Why it made me desperate?
Thinking deeply about his story you can see that tyranny and pig capitalism is a pattern. No matter how society starts, leaders always gravitate to corruption and to gain more power and control on behalf of the others.
One aspect of it is In behavioral science, the term called “the tragedy of the commons” which means — any resource that is free to use will be used to the bitter end. The workforce is one of the demonstrations for this sentence.
So, coming into terms with human personality traits what does society hope to get in the long term?
What can be a possible vision for nations?
